Emily & David are busy parents with a growing family. When Louise first met with them at their home it quickly became apparent that the disjointed, poorly arranged kitchen simply didn’t work for them.
The brief was to create a fresh new family-friendly kitchen which was comfortable, sociable and should include high performance appliances with plenty of storage. The desired look was traditional but not fussy.
It was decided that the main dividing wall between the dining room and kitchen should be removed creating the social, open space David and Emily desired. By doing so the dynamics of the room changed dramatically and the current kitchen layout of a G-shape run of units, which features a large range cooker with specially constructed over-mantle, clearly defines the main cooking zone. Accents of solid oak complete the look, connecting the kitchen to the dining room with an impressive dresser.
Beautiful Star Galaxy granite worktops are fitted throughout, including practical up-stands and window sill.
The sparkly red glass splash-back was the final detail to complete the kitchen and adds a dramatic modern twist to the traditional.
David and Emily were very happy with the result and have commissioned Idesign Interiors to do further works throughout their home.
